Quentin Belt
he/him
Quentin Belt has been photographing New York since he first landed here from Culver City in 2010, drawn in by the city’s chaos, beauty, and characters. His images—whether of nightlife, queer performance, or a fleeting street encounter—have a way of making the moment feel both bigger than life and deeply personal. Over the years, he’s become known for his raw, unfiltered style: candid portraits, iPhone snapshots, and frames that value honesty over polish. His work has been spotlighted in Cultured Magazine, The Face, and most recently Interview Magazine, which covered the release of his first book, Camera Roll_001.
The book captures portraits and scenes from the past year, paired with his signature captions that are equal parts satirical and tender. But more than documenting celebrity or spectacle, Quentin’s eye is fixed on the people who ground him—the friends, artists, and chosen family who’ve shaped his story in New York. It’s this mix of intimacy and energy that makes his work feel like more than photography; it’s a living archive of community, memory, and connection.
